Microcement, concrete plaster flooring
Microcement is a highly durable coating system with a modern look. It is an extremely versatile material that performs well both indoors and outdoors; it can be tinted in hundreds of colors and given a unique texture. Although it is applied in a layer 2–3 mm thick, it is extremely durable and withstands daily wear and tear. I use several types of materials so that you can choose the texture and appearance that best suits your intended use.
Some common applications: gypsum concrete stairs, old tiles, wall surfaces, old kitchen countertops, MDF.
Modern, minimalist kitchen countertop and backsplash
The microcement kitchen countertop is the perfect choice if you want a kitchen countertop with a clean look. It can be used to balance out hot and cold effects and harmonise the furniture materials used in the kitchen.
The material can be applied to mdf up to 18 mm thick, for a truly modern look.
The kitchen countertop will be made in 6-8 days after a precise assessment of your needs (in consultation with your carpenter).
Your new kitchen countertop can be built on-site or in my workshop. No matter where the work takes place, I’ll always get in touch with your cabinetmaker to ensure everything turns out perfectly.
The advantage of doing the work in my workshop is that I don't have to go out, and I don't interfere with the work of other professionals.
If you want to renovate your existing kitchen countertop, there is also the possibility to do so at the installation site.

Staircase Finishing with Microcement
Stairs can be coated with microcement both outdoors and indoors, as the material is very strong, waterproof, and UV-resistant. Furthermore, it does not require any special maintenance (unlike wood, for example).
Microcement is not suitable for leveling out unevenness on stairs because it is applied to the surface in a layer only 2–3 mm thick. Therefore, the surface of the stairs must first be leveled (if necessary); otherwise, the microcement will take on the contours of the underlying surface.
All stair construction is preceded by an on-site survey to determine, among other things, whether the stairs need to be prepared.
Furniture renovation with microcement
I have two small children. We've had our dining room table for a year, but it's been scribbled on, scratched, stained, worn. That's what it is. But we really like it because it's the right size, it has a rounded edge and it's totally sturdy.
Sound familiar?
I have an ikea TV stand left over from my youth, it's completely sturdy, the size is good, the wheel has given up the ghost, but the point is that apart from the stains and scratches it's a very nice piece of furniture. We wouldn't want to part with it, just refurbish the surface, replace the legs and it's a nice, unique piece of furniture.
Furniture refurbishment is not only about protecting the environment, but also about saving value. We love our good furniture, so it's not a shame to refurbish it rather than replace it.

Importantly, we do not do carpentry work. I will sand the furniture in order to apply the microcement, but I will not do any major woodwork. So, if you need a major refinishing/repair of the furniture first, have a joiner do it first and then bring it to me for microcement coating.
When designing new furniture, you can let your imagination run wild, because microcement can be combined very well with wood, metal, glass and marble.
Making new microcement furniture
If you can't find the right furniture design in the webshop, or if you want a combination of them, or if you have a unique idea, I can help you to create a completely new piece of furniture. If you would like to have the body of the furniture made by your own joiner, that is also an option and I will have the furniture coated. I pay particular attention during the making process to ensure that the furniture is coated in as assembled a state as possible, so that there are no joint edges/gaps.
When ordering custom furniture, please provide the following information:
- the body of the furniture is made by you or by us
- the shape of the furniture, even in the form of a hand drawing
- the dimensions of the furniture, even given on the drawing
- what colour, colours you would like
- have a more granular effect or a more homogeneous surface
- furniture leg (will it be, what will it be...)
Microcement for wet rooms
Providing wetrooms with microcement tiles is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a practical choice. The main advantage of microcement is that it is grout-free, which makes for a more hygienic and easier to clean surface. And although the water resistance of microcement is assured during the construction process, the waterproofing underneath needs to be taken care of. If you have underfloor heating in the bathroom, you can get much more out of it with a microcement tile, because of its thinness.
On the other hand, simplicity is becoming more and more important, and patterns are less and less preferred. And since we are also placing more and more emphasis on the sophisticated furnishing of wet rooms, a microcement tile makes our own work easier, because it harmonises beautifully with ceramic, metal and wooden surfaces.
